My landlord has put a metal fence & screwed planks of wood into my door to stop me entering my own GARDEN

A TENANT is embroiled in tense battle with her landlord after he cut off access to her garden and driveway.

Maneeca Belbin began renting from her landlord Daniel eight months ago on the outskirts of Sydney, but weeks after moving in he began an extreme renovation.

After six months of searching for the perfect property to share with her two pups, Maneeca signed for her current rental.

But now she has no access to the garden and driveway she pays for, and says the yard looks like "a war bunker".

Landlord Daniel went as far as to drill planks of wood across the backdoor so she can't access the garden.

Photos reveal stones stacked around the backyard, and a metal fence erected to keep Maneeca out of her own garden.

A digger is balanced on a pile of dirt, blocking the formerly nice garden.

Maneeca told 9News: "As soon as I signed the lease, it turned into this."

Daniel had allegedly told her there would be landscaping and concrete work, but was promised it would be only take three months.

After trying to raise her concerns, Daniel upped her rent and has made her feel uncomfortable in her own home.

Another couple was made uncomfortable after their landlord pitched a tent in their garden and lived there for two months.

Nicky and William had been living in the rented home in Yamba in New South Wales, Australia, with their three young children for two months when Pascale Hubert told them she would be setting up camp in the backyard.

"I noticed they've got a bucket, been doing poos and wees in the bucket. It's disgusting," William said.

The couple then suddenly left in their black ute once the council stepped in, threatening to fine them if they stayed, after A Current Affair highlighted their situation.

"You’ll be lucky to be breathing by the time I’m f*****g finished with you," the landlord was filmed saying as he prepared to leave the property.

The landlord and her partner are said to have gone to Sydney, according to local reports.

Pascale said she was allowed to take over the garden with a teepee tent as the rental contract does not include the backyard.

Under the $560-a-week lease agreement, the contract reportedly included the phrase: "Rear yard is not included."
